Hi. My name is Cherry Ogaki. I am originally from Shanghai, China. But I came to America from Japan. I am a citizen of Japan now. I speak Madarin, Shanghainese and Japanese.

I came to America in 2007. I came here because my son is studying at Columbia University. I am here to take care of him. Although I know my son has grown up and is very independent now, I still want to stay here to make sure he can finish his study smoothly.

Before I came to the United States, I was a fashion designer. I worked for a big fashion company in Japan. New York Cit is the center for fashion designing. I hope that, while I am here, after I have learned enough English, I may look for opportunities to pick up my old job -fashion designing. Of course, I understand, to achieve my goal, I must first of all improve my English. without English, I cannot do anything. I will keep trying and work harder at my English. I am sure, by doing this, I can sooner or later achieve my own personal goal.
